New Things

Today in the "bafftub" Natalynn was calling everything Mr. "Misser frog, Misser foot, Misser Shovel..." She also said, "What happened to you?"
She really wanted Bridger to join her. We let the baby bathtub stay in the big bathtub and she pointed to it with a circular motion, telling me that Bridger should be in it.

Thankfully she talks to my foot a little bit less these days and when she does her hand has aquired a better vocabulary than just "hi" over and over.

In the car yesterday she was talking to one of her toys, "I'm big" -in a low voice "I'm little"- in a high voice

All About the Boy

Bridger is such a great little boy. He is very happy and content. He will often let me leave him just laying there for over an hour while I go about my business. He loves to be around people and loves to smile. He is very tolerant of his big sister, whom we nicknamed "The Loving Tyrant." He has such a bright, beautiful smile that usually appears the second he sees his mommy and daddy. He's starting to make cute laughing and talking noises. His favorite thing is cuddling. Today marks the 3rd day of Bridger sleeping for 4 hours at a time for 3 nights in a row.

Proof of Love

About a week or two after we brought Bridger home Natalynn displayed her true sisterly instincts. Brigham was out playing basketball, Bridger was in the living room swing crying while I read bedtime stories to Natalynn. This girl LOVES her bedtime stories and will usually try to pile as many books on my lap as she can. She could hear her brother crying and she looked me in the eye and said, "Bridger" then took the book away, put it on the shelf and climbed into bed.

Another sisterly act came at a cabin getaway with some friends. A little girl about her same age, Makenna, spotted Bridger in his swing and went to say hello. Natalynn must have thought she would be trouble for her little bro and immediately came at the poor little girl with screaming and slapping in an effort to protect him. I, of course, freaked and scolded her a little too harshly. She went to Bridger and cried on his lap.

Want more? Well, the other day, when I couldn't take the crying any longer, I put Bridger in my room and shut the door. He cried but I really didn't give a poop. Natalynn, however, did. She went to the door and begged me to open it. I opened it and she went in to comfort him while I went back gather my sanity. Can she really be only 27 months old?
