Playground

We parents continually kid ourselves into thinking we need to take our kids new and exciting places. But what do kids really want? The good old-fashioned park. I think my daughter would live there if she could.

Dinosaurs

We went to the Museum of Ancient Life to see the dinosaurs. Chinnie enjoyed herself, but refused to believe that she too, has bones in her body. She didn't show any fear, even at the shark exibit, until we reached the human skeletons. She screamed and we got out of there as fast as we could. (The next three nights she woke up screaming)

Her favorite part was the dark tunnel of stars. It feels like you're in outer space. We had to go through the tunnel at least a dozen times.

I think she enjoyed seeing Nana and Stetson more than the museum itself.

Two New Things in One Day!

When I woke this morning this is what I found standing in his crib for the first time. This is exceptionally difficult, being a Pack 'n Play, because there are no bars to grasp and pull up on.

Notice the twisted tongue... so cute!

Also, my little baby has his first tooth. It's not visible, but you can feel it.

Bridger's First Big Boy Bath

It started out as usual, Chinnie enjoying her bath and Mom nursing Bridger on the edge of the bath. Bridger just couldn't focus on his hungry tummy. He kept looking back at his sister splashing and having fun. When I told Chinnie that Bridger would be joining her I could see the gears turning in her head. When she grasped the idea, understanding lit up her face. She got very excited and started clearing away the toys to make space for her bro. They both had a grand time.

Chinnnie couldn't resist the temptation of pouring water on poor little Bridger's head. He was very tolerant.

Bridger did very well in the bath. He sat up by himself the whole time, without falling. He really liked splashing and hitting the water.

Climbing and Camping

Chinnie and Daddy decided to camp out in the backyard. They had fun setting up the tent and playing. They did the bedtime routine but she just couldn't fall asleep. Alas, they gave up and went back to the house to sleep.

Meanwhile, Bridger is discovering the book basket. He is so like his big sister...

Really? Pictures?

Ok, I've updated all my posts and added some new ones as far back as March. My goal is to put pictures on AS I'm doing it. Procrastination is painful, as it is now 1 AM, but I am finally finished!

My Favorite Boy

Two cute things about my favorite boy:
1. The way he twists his tongue when he smiles

2. The way he follows me around the house. I love to do laundry and have him turn around everytime I go from the laundry room to the bedroom

How do I keep forgetting to announce Bridger's first word? It happened near the beginning of July. He desperately wanted me as I was getting ready for the day. Daddy was holding him just outside the bathroom and I would peek out as I was brushing my teeth and so forth. When I was ready and he had had enough waiting for me I looked at him and said, "Say Mom." He looked right back at me and said it, clear as a bell. Yes, people, after failing to get my daughters first word, I have succeeded at claiming my sons. Bridger loves me best! (IN YOUR FACE BRIGHAM!)
Don't mind this random photo. It wont let me delete it.

Boy Crazy!

Bridger kept doing this modeling pose when he'd get tired of crawling or just wanted to stop and look around. I didn't capture it exactly, but you get the idea.

Kids love to run around in circles right? Well my daughter loves to run around the kitchen calling out, "Catch the Boys!"

I took Natalynn to a park that has a fort/castle that's pretty neat. Daddy was asking about it he would ask, "What was in the fort? Was there a slide?"
N: "No"
D: "What was in it?"
N: "Boys!"

At church today she was pointing out "two boys" everywhere she looked.

Another boy we're crazy about, Bridger! He can stand up holding on to something. Today during Sacrament Meeting he was standing on the pew holding on to the back rest.

Last bit, my boy took a tumble down the stairs this last week. He's just too speedy for his own good.

A Trip Down Memory Lane

I guess this is a test to see if I have more viewers than the 2 people that actually leave comments! Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot. Just leave a memory. It can be good or bad, but be nice in general.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see what memories people leave about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my blog comments. Might be fun..might be weird. But hey, it's somethin'!
