Halloween

We started out the festivities by going to Aunt Leslie & Brieann's work to trick or treat. Then stopped by a friend's house to let the kids in the ward get together, as shown. Then we ended with door-to-door trick or treating. She really got into knocking only on doors which had lights on. When a house with lights on didn't answer the door, she got sad and almost offended. She has quite a lot of candy.

To make Bridger happy all we have to do is chase him up the stairs. He will wait at the bottom for someone to notice, then laughs hysterically while climbing as fast as his chubby little feet will carry him.

Halloween Festivities

On the Saturday before Halloween we had a full agenda. It all started with a costume contest at the Living Planet Aquarium. She would have had a good chance at winning if there hadn't been a squid costume. She enjoyed the aquarium, we hadn't been since June.

After that we picked up the boys and headed over to the park for trunk-or-treating and bouncing.

She tried some cotton candy after some convincing that she could eat it. I don't think she liked it much.

Big Boy

Bridger has now said 3 words. His first was mom but since then it's been mamamama. Next was when I was trying on a winter hat and he was not cooperating. He started crying then cried, "no no no." Lastly, I was preparing a mashed banana, so he said nana. (Sorry Nana!)

He has also started waiving! He'll even wave if you just say hi. He attempted to clap once, which was so cute the way he had to look at his fingers to get them to uncurl. But he hasn't clapped since.

His favorite game is shaking his head to see if you will copy.

Walking

We love how Bridger walks with straight legs. It's long but fun near the end.

Letter D

Notice Chinnie's face when Gordon sticks his whole hand in the paint.

Now she tries it too!

D is for dots and donuts

Drawing People

Chinnie drew her first recognizable person (Mommy) then declared, "I don't yike that mommy" and scribbled it out. I thought I would cry. Both because she ruined it and because she is so critical of herself at such a young age. I've started to draw like a 3 year old now, but it's harder than it looks.

Chinnie had her first sleepover with her cousins!

This was also our 5 year anniversary. We had a lovely dinner at the Five Alls restaurant.

Bridger

This is what Bridger looks like when he's unhappy. And yes, he does get unhappy. Sometimes.

Pondering

Chinnie and I went shopping tonight and didn't get back until after her bedtime. She's always in bed or getting ready for bed before dark but tonight it was dark on the drive home. This was strange to her and after hearing some "wow"s her question was, "Is it going to be yight afto it's dark foest (first)?

I'm a Big Daddy!

Chinnie came into the kichen and announced that she was Daddy. She's trying to be a sad dad (like in Hop on Pop) but she couldn't keep a straight face for the camera. Don't you love the chicken legs compared to the huge boots?

Preschool Field Trip!

About a month ago Chinnie started a preschool co-op with two other moms and their kids. We learn one letter each week but we decided to mix it up with a trip to Wheeler Farm.
More bars in more places. Can you hear me now?

Candid shot-they decided to sit and do some cow gazing.

"I found a rock"
"You hold it for me?"
Bridger was there too, that sheep was making funny noises!
